Recycling communicates of corporate responsibility
Niimaar Circular Design studio helps with the recycling of waste in hotels and other organizations. Employees and customers expect companies to recycle and aim for a more sustainable, more environmentally friendly future.
Design hotels such as Prime Hotels Rantapuisto, Hotel Ax, Hotel Mestari in Finland, Freigeist in Germany and Hotel Sorano in Japan have chosen
Ecogrande for their premises. The recycling stations are placed on the different floors and also in the lobby areas.
The new EU directive and waste law in Finland obliges to recycle well over half of municipal waste. Companies’ municipal waste must be recycled: 55% in 2025, 60% in 2030 and 65% in 2035. In the future, the obligation applies not only to large but also to mall companies and other administrative and service activities.

Black Ecogrande blends in the mysterious hallways of Hotel Mestari with their timeless design.

Ecogrande has won the German Design Awards 2021 Eco Design and Public Design awards.
Niimaar’s Ecogrande is a popular recycling system in offices, museums, hotels in Finland and internationally. Ecogrande is made in Finland from Finnish birch plywood and the designer furniture was designed by top designer Harri Koskinen.
With Niimaar’s reusable recycling bags, companies are able to reduce the use of single-use plastic waste bags.
Niimaar’s Biowaste Box won the bronze ADI medal notification in ADI Awards, organized by The ADI-FAD, the Industrial Design Association linked to FAD, Fostering Arts and Design.
